The textual records include correspondence, a radio licence issued by the federal Dept. of Marine, and one letter from BEAR Assistant Superintendent, George K. Foster. Photographs depict BEAR radio equipment, personnel, camp buildings, and the surrounding area. Two images also depict Back's chimneys at Old Fort Reliance.
Davis, Arthur P., 1914-The majority of these images are fixed on the pages of a photo album. It would appear that the other prints have fallen out of, or been removed from the album. The images depict life in and around Yellowknife, and in particular document buildings, head frames and activities at the Negus Mine, including the fire at Negus. There are also photographs of Con Mine, Giant Mine and Rycon Mine. In addition, there are images of the Bluefish (Con Hydro) power plant, the installation and hauling of equipment to the Canol Project, the opening of Stanton Hospital, as well as images of Yellowknife residents such as Father Gathy, Gerry Murphy, Dr. Stanton, Mavis Riley (Kingston), and Dr. A.W. (Fred) Jolliffe. In addition, there are images of Jolliffe Island, Detah and Girvin’s Cafe. The bulk of the accession concerns the years 1946 and 1947.

This accession consists of photographs of Yellowknife and the surrounding area. Images include mine headframes and buildings, the Frank Channel and Yellowknife River bridges, parachutists, and a 1967 Canada Day Parade in Yellowknife.

Mayo, TonyThis accession consists of one 16 mm film reel of the 1948 National Film Board of Canada film "Yellowknife, Canada", and one copy of the film on Umatic videocassette. The images in the film include views of Yellowknife, mining, the pouring of a gold brick, and the Snare River Power Dam.
National Film Board of CanadaRecords include photographs from the files of the "Canadian Mining Journal". The images show mining operations in the NWT with a particularly strong focus on the mines in and around Yellowknife. The photographs document buildings and operations of Giant Mine, Salmita Mine, Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company (Con Mine), Negus Mine and Tundra Gold Mines. There are also photographs of the Burwash Camp and the Yellowknife Bakery.
The videocassette consists of "The City of Yellowknife", part of the series "Sketches of Our Town." The video, hosted and narrated by Harvey Kirck, was filmed in the fall of 1991. It depicts Yellowknife past and present, and includes archival material, and interviews with residents Michael Borden, Dave Lovell, Barb Cameron, Walt Humphries and pilot Jim McAvoy.

Ltd. related to administrative matters (1934-1944). Includes some correspondence of Gilbert and Charles Labine. The second file contains the ballot of 12 candidates for the Aklavik Advisory Council (1969). The third file has part of a diary in Inuktitut (1955), 2 permits to enter the Reindeer Reserve, and 7 photographs in very bad condition which may have come from the collection of the National Archives of Canada.

Baron, RollyRecords consist of a report on prospecting and mining operations in the Great Slave Lake area, which includes a number of adhered photographs. Also included are two shorter reports on prospecting and mining in the Great Slave Lake and Great Bear Lake regions, related correspondence, and seven plans noting mineral claims around the Great Slave Lake area.
Records are comprised of a logbook of radio transmissions made between Salmita Mine and elsewhere. The majority of the calls are between Salmita and Yellowknife. Transmissions include day to day operations at the mine, requests for supplies, and contact with family members. Notable participants include John H. Parker and N.W. Byrne. The first half of the book is handwritten in pencil and ink, the second half is typed.
The photographs show mining activity at Gordon Lake in 1937. The photographs also depict life at Yellowknife in 1937 and 1938, including photographs of the Pacific Western Airlines float base, the airplanes and pilots there. One photograph of the Yellowknife PWA operation was taken in 1958.
McLaren, Duncan D.The images depict daily life, mine employees, the camp and mining operations at Port Radium. In addition, there are several images of Northern Transportation Company Limited tugboats, barges and paddle steamers, as well as locations such as Hay River, Norman Wells and Inuvik.
Jenkins, BobThe majority of the photographs depict employees of Con Mine, as well as equipment and buildings at Con Mine in Yellowknife. In addition, there is an image of Henry Busse and the Wildcat Cafe.
Poohkay, Nick C.Photographs depict the abandoned Thompson-Lundmark Gold Mine site and show the Kim shaft, mine site, and equipment inside the mill. The ravenous forest fires of the summer of 1998 and Mr. Regier's particular interest in old places combined to inspire he and a colleague to charter a float plane to visit the Thompson-Lundmark site. Their timing was fortunate, as the site burned the following day.
