[The reminisces of Paul Vaudrack (Voudrach) of Fort Good Hope on October 12, 1968. The original manuscript was handwritten; Father Rene Fumoleau OMI created the typed copy. The manuscript depicts Gwich'in life before the time of 'aid from government' in the first years of the twentieth century, including the construction of birchbark canoes, whaling, fishing, caribou hunting, the outbreak of influenza, Father Giroux and the role of the Church, and the influence of the English language and residential schools.]
Records are comprised of transcripts of eight interviews conducted by Jane Kenny in Deline in June 1984, as well as a file containing minutes and correspondence related to the first and second meetings of the Thebacha Association in 1967, a Fort Smith-based political association that was a precursor to the Indian Brotherhood.
