[This item is a recording of a staff meeting at the Gold Range Hotel, followed by drinks and a general discussion about municipal matters. J.I. Glick speaks to staff about expectations for honesty, efficiency, and faithfulness, as well as their pay and how much alcohol they were drinking during and after work. A staff member and J.I. Glick argue about whether or not she was drinking on the job. There is a discussion about desk clerks profiling guests (turning down youth for room reservations because high school students were drinking alcohol in hotel rooms, unmarried couples posing as married couples). There is an argument about the supply of pillows. At about 40:30 there is the sound of drinks being poured and Glick requests a scotch; it sounds like Zelda Glick may be the one serving drinks. There is a discussion about the appearance of the town. A staff member proposes that the town begin a gardening program to beautify the downtown, and Glick suggests that she write to the council or attend a meeting. That same staff member discusses the lack of a sign for the ferry across the Mackenzie River, and proposes fines for people who do not maintain attractive lawns.]
