This accession consists of Minister's chronos (correspondence) from 2009 and 2012 and Deputy Minister's chronos from 2012 from the Department of Industry, Tourism, and Investment.

The collection is comprised of photographs that were deleted from the files in 1992. Themes include: the Legislative Assembly, Members of the Legislative Assembly and the Executive; as well as involvement of the Government of the Northwest Territories in housing, education and training, arts and crafts, tourism, transportation and industry. Also included are images documenting native land use, community activities, facilities, special events and people. Tessa Macintosh, the photographer for the Government of the NWT, took the majority of the photographs.

This accession consists of 25 maps which indicate the electoral boundaries of the NWT as asssented to on October 27, 1978. All 22 electoral regions are represented, and in addition, there is one large map of the NWT which shows each of the 22 districts.

This accession consists of one photograph of Hugh St. Quenton Cayley (Saskatchewan Archives number R-A6914). The image was copied from a composite photograph of the members of the 2nd Legislative Assembly for the Northwest Territories, 1891 (Saskatchewan Archives number R-B1490).

The pencil drawings have been done on lightweight paper or thicker parchment board and are various sizes. Some have been coloured. The mainly political subjects include native employment, the wisdom of the Dene, the Government of the Northwest Territories place in the North, and the Dene's role versus the role of pipeline companies in the development of the Norman Wells pipeline.

2 of the audiocassettes contain a recording of a public forum held in Yelowknife on April 24, 1997 to discuss NWT constutional issues. Speaking at the forum, which was hosted by the NWT Area Council of the United Steelworkers of America were Steve Iveson, Bob MacQuarrie, and Stephen Kakfwi. The other two audiocassettes are recordings of an all-candiates forum for the 1997 federal election hosted by Alternatives North.

This accession consists of an annotated copy of the "Summary of Report of the Advisory Commission on the Development of Government in the Northwest Territories" (Carrothers Commission 1966) and a complete sequence of Tuesday Letters (8 Dec. 1964 to 16 Jan. 1967), which were informal newsletters from Mr. Sivertz to the members of the NWT Council.

Records consist of chronos from the Premier's Office under Stephen Kakfwi between July to December 2002.

Records date from 1977-1995, and consist mainly of ministerial correspondence and chronos of various departments, including Finance, Education, Renewable Resources and Transportation, as well as chronos from the Office of the Premier. This accession also includes one file from the Pine Point Closure Committee, several files from the Office of Devolution, and files related to Forestry and the transfer of Forest Fire Services in the NWT.

The records consist of committee records from the Executive Senior Management Committee, Special Joint Committee on Non-Tax-Based Community Affairs, and Special Committee on the Implementation of Self-Government and the Sunset Clause, the Public Committees, Boards and Councils Handbook, and chronos (correspondence) from the Premier and Secretary to Cabinet (2007-2010).

Records include chronos generated by the office of Floyd K. Roland as Premier of the Northwest Territories.

Records include recordings of meetings held between Commissioner Stuart M. Hodgson, Chief Alex Arrowmaker, and Members of the Legislative Assembly, Thomas H. Butters and R. Whitford concerning the development plans for Snare Lakes.

Accession consists of the itinerary of Govenor General of Canada, Roland Michener's visit to the Northwest Territories from August 17-24, 1970. There is also the itinerary of NWT Commissioner, John Parker's tour of Keewatin South from April 20-23, 1982.

The records consist of the NWT Energy Plan and the work surrounding its creation as drafted by the Energy Secretariat; meeting minutes of the Arctic Energy Alliance with RWED Deputy Minister participation from 1997-2002; and ministerial and deputy minister chronos from 2004.

Records include interim and final reports from the Special Committee on Housing and recordings of the public and other community hearings. The DAT cassettes were copied from the original audiocassettes in October 1995; the recordings are in a variety of native languages and contain simultaneous translations.
