The recordings are of the proceedings of the first Alberta Northwest Mining Industry Forum, which was held in Yellowknife. Included in the topics for discussion were: participation of indigenous people in resource development, the relationship between governments and the mining industry, exploration problems and the need for all weather roads. Speakers include Dr. C.M. Trigg, Ross Milne, Mike Keevan, Dave J. Emery, Peter Ernerk, R.W. Hornal, Dr. George W. Mannard, and Ron J. Hawkes.
